Curtiss P-40E American Volounteer Group, 3rd Pursuit Squadron, March-July 1942.
One of the first P-40E to be recieved by the Flyng Tigers, as replacement for aircraft losses sustained during their first 3 month of operation in defence of Burma and China.
Until July 1942, when the AVG officially become part of the 14th AF, 23rd Group, the Flyng Tigers recieved a total of about 30 P-40E, many of them in the Green and Earth camouflage, (originally destined to the British RAF, as were the P-40C), others in the standard USAAC Olive Drab- Neutral Grey camouflage, the last denoting aircrafts taken directly from USAAC reserves.

The original skin and 3Dz is from Captain Kurt. I only added a full wrap-around tail red band as correct for all P-40E of the AVG (from April all the 3 squadrons flew as an unique outfit, with no distinction between aircrafts). I added some few victories and the "Hell's Angel" badge, and the 3color wheel cover, as sported by many aircrafts of the AVG.

After July 1942, almost all of the AVG planes substituted the Chinese star national marking with the American five pointed star in the blue circle.

The skin comes in two versions: one for the Hurricane slot in the ECA Panel, and one for the P-51B slot.

Enjoy them! :)
